Risk Warning

This Risk Warning forms an integral part of our Terms of Service. By opening an account and depositing funds, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted the risks described below.

A Contract for Difference (CFD) is a derivative contract between you and NAMH that settles the difference between the opening and closing price of an underlying market. Key characteristics:

• You do not own the underlying asset. You cannot take delivery, you have no shareholder rights, and you cannot transfer the position to another broker.
• Prices are derived from underlying markets (stocks, indices, commodities, forex, crypto) — so all underlying-market risks apply, plus broker-specific risks.
• CFDs are leveraged — small price movements create large proportional changes in your account value.
• CFDs trade on margin. You only deposit a fraction of the notional position value. This amplifies returns AND losses.

Leverage up to 1:500 (and 1:1000 on Cent accounts) is available. This means a 0.2% adverse price move on EUR/USD can wipe out 100% of your margin. Leverage is a double-edged tool:

• A winning trade is magnified in your favour.
• A losing trade is magnified against you at exactly the same rate.
• You can lose your entire deposit in a single trade if the market moves sharply against you.

Professional traders rarely use maximum available leverage. Sizing positions according to account risk (typically 0.5–2% per trade) is a core discipline, not an optional one.

Underlying markets can move violently and without warning. Sources of market risk include:

• Economic releases: NFP, CPI, FOMC, central bank decisions can cause instant spikes of dozens of pips.
• Geopolitical events: war, sanctions, regime changes alter correlations overnight.
• Central bank interventions: currency de-pegging events (e.g. CHF 2015) can move markets 20%+ in minutes.
• Weekends and overnight gaps: markets reopen at different prices than they closed.
• Black-swan events: pandemics, banking crises, flash crashes.

NAMH does not control market volatility. We provide the infrastructure to trade it, but the exposure is yours.

Not all markets are liquid all the time. Liquidity can dry up during:

• Sunday open (Asia session start).
• High-impact news releases.
• Holiday periods and rollovers.
• Crypto during weekend US futures close.
• Exotic currency pairs at any time.

When liquidity thins, spreads widen, slippage increases, and stop-loss orders may execute well beyond their trigger price.

Your orders execute at the first available market price, which may differ from the price you clicked. This is slippage. Slippage can be positive (in your favour) or negative (against you).

Market orders are filled immediately at prevailing prices — NAMH does not guarantee execution at a specific price. During extreme events, fills can be several pips away from the trigger.

Positions held overnight incur swap charges or credits based on the interest rate differential between the two currencies or the cost of carry on the underlying instrument. Swap:

• Charged or credited daily at 22:00 UTC.
• Triple swap charged on Wednesday (to cover weekend carry).
• Can be positive (you receive) or negative (you pay).
• Compounds over time — long-held positions accumulate meaningful costs.

NAMH applies several protections to limit downside risk:

• Negative Balance Protection: you cannot lose more than your deposit. In extreme gap events, NAMH absorbs any negative equity via our risk reserve.
• Automated stop-out at 50% margin level: positions are closed automatically before equity reaches zero.
• Segregated client funds: legally distinct from NAMH operational accounts.
• Real-time margin monitoring: tick-by-tick calc to prevent runaway exposure.

• Personalised investment advice.
• Recommendations on what to buy or sell.
